This is also in no way intended to blame the devs for any balance decision I handle differently here - on the contrary. It's only about personal preference and contains no judgement over anybody wanting more or less challenge than KOA:Reckoning has to offer in its unmodded form.

This mod is just me shaping Amalur to feel more challenging. And where there's no death, can there be life? He had to know, he had to feel the challenge again." But where there can be no loss, there can be no victory. Nothing was threatening him, nothing challenged him. Ysa was the Lord of Summer and would have been forever. The waters had run from the source to the sea to the source, the verses had echoed from the dying to the reborn. All had gone well and would have again and again and again - had he not broken the circle. The waters of the Font of Summer were running silvery through his fingers, while the Shapers in the background chanted their ever repeating verses. "One day as Ysa, Ruler of the Kingdom of Summer, who slew the unseelie Lord Ohn in the Withering War, sat musing in the shadows of the Grand Trellis, he finally realized why he had done it. Definitely got carried away there. The file includes a cached webpage i copied that does break down what has been adjusted. Or when you have 100% alteration reduction, you can spam the paralyze spell. Run up and hack at your motionless opponent. This has been patched though, so I'll probably have to figure something out myself when I start playing again (I think you can still get 100% reduction, I will just need to sacrifice an ability on another piece of equipment.) It's pretty satisfying running around casting high level magic skills without ever having to hide and wait for magicka to come back. I definitely abused that way too much to get one set of heavy armor which gave me 100% reduction in mana cost for each school. There used to be a glitch where you can wear a Falmer's Helmet and a Circlet at the same time. I'd usually deal with having sucky magicka until I reach a point where I can get magicka reduction cost. When I leveled up, I would never level magicka, only health and stamina. Playing as a mage really sucks because I always ran out of magicka. Magic can go screw itself (my opinion, of course). And on the side, restoration and heavy armor. The above will steadily up my 1-handed, archery, and sneak skills. I'm one of those people that hates slow attack speed. I can switch to a spell and heal while swiping at people. Early stage dragon fights always gave me worlds of trouble.ĭual 1-handed for me all the way. Started off most battles by firing arrows in sneak mode until the sneak damage no longer worked, let my ally run up then switch to melee. Always hid behind my follower to tank, I have no idea how everyone else does it, because I die in like two hits on the hardest difficulty. This has always been my playstyle for some reason. My playstyle:īreton (because magic is broken and the natural magic resistance really helps).Ĭombination archer + swordsman (more like 90% swordsman, 10% archer, to be honest). I always fall back to the same playstyle each time. I've tried to switch playstyles but I can't find myself to do it. I've played through the game at least 2 -3 times. Especially if you haven't played it in a while, the experience won't be the same. Just setting it up and getting them to work was pretty amusing for me (probably not so amusing to people that kept seeing my popup on Steam).

I must say the game with a lot of mods is a lot more fun. I insisted on not using any mods because I wanted to experience the game as is. I still need to go through it for the achievements :) I spent 13 hours setting up my mods, then proceeded to barely play the game. I played Skyrim a long time ago before I joined Steam, and recently bought the anthology. I actually restarted skyrim few month ago after adding a lots of mods for graphics and realism, recreated a character and decided to be a wizard bitch that burn everything then laugh, and playing more in RP style (always walking when travelling, used mod to simulate freezing damage when snowing etc.) and this i am not wasting time collecting each and every item in all chest / bag etc in each and every donjon of the game xDĪctually that is quite enjoying to play like that, its clearly a waste of time, but still, pretty much enjoying. I finished skyrim and pretty much all side quest except few bugged ones. Because i like the tension of playing without being notice and before being hitting :D the problem is the companion that are generally too dumb to understand what stealth is and if we are crouching on the ground, its not to jump like crazy when someone enter in their vision path. My favorite style is sneaky bastard thief archer that can 1 - 2 shot pretty much every monster with critical bonus.
